Zhaojun Museum


Zhaojun Museum was renamed from Zhaojun Tomb. Zhaojun Museum is located in the southern suburb of Hohhot. It is composed of Wang Zhaojun Tomb and a series of memorial buildings, covering an area of 590 mu. It is composed of Xiongnu Culture Museum, Shan Yu Daguan, Heqin Palace, Zhaojun House, and "Tibetan Moyuan" calligraphy and painting exhibition hall. The tomb of Wang Zhaojun is called Temur Wuerhu in Mongolian, which means "iron barrier". Documentary records are also called "Qingzhong", which has been clearly recorded since the Tang Dynasty. According to textual research, it was rammed from artificial soil in the Han Dynasty, with a height of 33 meters and a bottom area of 13000 square meters. It is one of the largest Han tombs in China, a national key cultural relic protection unit, and a national education base for national unity and progress. It is a historical monument that symbolizes national unity, mutual integration and common development of all ethnic groups.
