China Ceramics Museum
The predecessor of Jingdezhen China Ceramic Museum is Jingdezhen Ceramic Museum (old museum). It was established in January 1954 and is the first thematic ceramic museum in China. The Jingdezhen China Ceramic Museum (New Museum) is located on the beautiful Changnan Lake in Xishi District. The museum has a collection of more than 30000 pieces of Neolithic pottery and ceramic treasures from different historical periods since the Han and Tang Dynasties (including more than 500 national precious cultural relics), including the representative varieties of Jingdezhen's thousand-year history of porcelain making. The museum covers a total area of nearly 55000 square meters, with a total construction area of 32000 square meters.
